Nexus's Everywhere!!!

In spite of the Hurricane Google went ahead and announced there new line up of Nexus devices.... one word.... Drooling!

Firstly lets start with the Nexus 4 , the newly announced Nexus phone from Google, yes, this phone can and does compete directly with the iPhone 5! Check out the specs below:

Full specs:
  • Chipset: Qualcomm Snapdragon™ S4 Pro processor with 1.5GHz Quad-Core Krait CPUs
  • Operating System: Android 4.2, Jelly Bean
  • Network: 3G (WCDMA), HSPA+
  • Display: 4.7-inch WXGA True HD IPS Plus (1280 x 768 pixels)
  • Memory: 8GB / 16GB
  • RAM: 2GB
  • Camera: 8.0MP rear / 1.3MP HD front
  • Battery: 2,100mAh Li-Polymer (embedded) / Talk time: 15.3 hours / Standby: 390 hours
  • Size: 133.9 x 68.7 x 9.1mm
  • Weight: 139g
  • Other: Wireless charging, NFC

Now looking at all these specs, we were all expecting a £500 price tag as we always get with these high end smartphone... BUT Google smashed the pricing wars and priced the 8gb at £239 and the 16gb at £279

These prices are CRAZY and are half of what you would pay with the iPhone 5! and in my opinion your getting a better phone!

Moving on to the next Nexus device, we see the Nexus 10 , which, as we guessed is a 10 inch Nexus tablet

Now im just going to go ahead and post the specs below and let them dazzle for a second:

  • Display: 10.055” 2560 x 1600 (300 ppi) WQXGA, HD PLS w/ Corning Gorilla Glass 2
  • Dimensions: 6.99 in (177.6 mm) x 10.39 in (263.9 mm) x 0.35 in (8.9 mm)
  • Weight: 1.33 lbs (603 g)
  • Camera (Main): 5MP, 1080p video
  • Camera (Front): 1.9MP, 720p video
  • Memory: 16 GB or 32 GB
  • Processor: Dual-core A15 Eagle
  • GPU: Mali T604
  • RAM: 2GB
  • OS: Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean)
  • Battery: 9,000 mAh Lithium Polymer
  • Wireless Dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n (MIMO+HT40)
  • Dual-side NFC (Android Beam)
  • Micro HDMI
  • 3.5mm headphone jack
  • Bluetooth
  • Sensors Accelerometer, Compass, Ambient light, Gyroscope, Pressure, GPS
  • Standby: up to 500 hours
  • Music playback: up to 90 hours
  • Video playback: up to 9 hours
  • Web browsing: up to 7 hours

Make note of that AMAZING resolution , and YES , that correct, it beats the iPad4s "retina" resolution and PPI ! This is a tablet with "the highest resolution on the planet"
The dual core inside this thing is also the strongest SOC that money can buy at the moment!
price stands at £319 for 16gb and £389 for 32gb.. again this price point smashes the iPads price, and you get a higher res screen

Lastly , we knew about the Nexus 7 before, but now they have released a 32gb model and a model with hspa+ ! so get your data on if you want it!

the nexus 4 and nexus 10 are to be released on November the 13th! so keep an eye out!

iPad Mini ------ Disappointing!

So Apple finally released the iPad mini yesterday , and man, am i disappointed!

This thing is basically the ipad 2 , but smaller,

SPECS

-7.9 inch 1024 x 768 - 163 ppi
- A5 Dual core processor
-5mp rear camera
1.2mp front camera
weight 308 grams

not only are these specs down right boring and bland, but the price for the cheapest model comes in it a $329 !!!!

I thought they were trying to compete with the Nexus 7 , but with that price point, i think its silly!

Galaxy S3 mini!!! Its official!

Samsung mobile president JK Shin confirms Galaxy S III mini announcement tomorrow

Well Well,  the Galaxy s3 Mini is going to make its debut at an event in Germany tomorrow..
JK SHIN the mobile chief of the company has come out and said there is a demand for a smaller version "in Europe"  ... so apparently Europeans have smaller hands... well i know i do , so im happy about this!

Its likely going to be a 4 inch device , hopefully with the same spec as the original although we will have to wait and see tomorrow if thats the case!

Pricing we still don't know, but this will all come clear tomorrow !

Whos excited about this device! i know i am, hopefully they price this right and keep the internals basically the same as the favourite S3 4.8

LG Nexus Leaked Photos!

lg-nexus-bottom-leak-630

So its all but confirmed that LG will be making a Nexus phone, and its probably this! so what do we think?
This is a pre-production model and on the back it says hardware revision v1.0 so it is possible that this is not going to be the final build

It should also be noted that its running android 4.1.2 not 4.2 ... so most likely this android version is going to be very small consisiting bug fixes and things like that.

Another Nexus Rumor--- LG OPTIMUS G Nexus?!

Alright guys, here we go again..... Now this has been rumoured to be the next Nexus device.... Anyone else get the feeling that we are seeing alot of rumours from alot of different OEMs... maybe these are the 5 nexus devices that were rumored earlier in the year..

Either way, if this comes out, ill be very excited...  SPECS-

-S4 PRO (quad core)
-2gb ram
-720p display
-adreno 320 graphics
-IPS+ HD display
-13mp camera

There is also rumours of the next iteration of android 4.2 (jelly bean? or keylime pie)

Most likely, its going to be an incremental update, project butter v2 etc... but interestingly it may have a "customization centre" where you can choose stock android, or another OEMs skin... useful ? who knows but customization is always a nice choice to have.

Another "feature" is they may be modifying the home screens to be "tabs"... now that is as little as i know about it, so your best guess is the same as mine, but lets hope they don't ruin home screens as its such a massive feature of android and has been there since day one

I can bet anything we will hear something solid about the next Nexus, or Nexi if you will in the next 30 days... so watch out for that !
